Punk Cover Week #4: 80s Metal Edition

Today we have two songs, both of which should be well known if you were alive in the 1980s or later.   The first one, although it sounds like it would be the perfect punk rock song, was originally done by hair metal band Twisted Sister.   Everyone should be familiar with We’re Not Gonna Take It, here’s just one punk version, a great one, by hardcore punk band A Global Threat.

The second one is another 80s hit.  You are probably familiar with this song by yet another 80s hair metal band, there was sure no shortage of them in the 80s, lol, Poison.    Here’s a cover of Every Rose Has Its Thorn from The Unseen’s 1997 album Lower Class Crucifixion.

What? No love for these 80s songs?? 😦

  2. Not a big fan of Twisted Sister – besides, I can’t hear the songs until I get on my computer at home!
