T-Party, Where the “T” Stands For TREASON

Dateline: Alabama.  Rick Barber, congressional candidate has a new offensive TV ad.   It features him talking to some men in cheesy ‘founding father’ costumes where he talks about impeaching the President for “unfair taxes”, the typical right wing talking point.   He goes on to whine about the tax system, talk about “evils being perpetrated” and the commercial ends with the “George Washington” character saying “gather your armies”.   In other words, TREASON with a capital T!!   This jackass even slanders George Washington by making him say “gather your armies”.  Gather your armies against what?   The legitimately elected government of the United States?    Contrary to what these teabagger assholes want you to think, the founding fathers would absolutely NOT support this right wing, treasonous, nonsense.   Maybe you slept through history class, but the purpose of the revolution was taxation without representation, as in being forced to pay taxes to England, with no right to vote.  No political voice.    No matter how butthurt you are about having to pay taxes today, there isn’t any taxation without representation going on here.   Everyone in office today is there because the people put them there.   And if you think about trying to overthrow that, like Mr. barber, your ass belongs in prison for treason.

Why do you feel everyone has to have the same views as you? Why are you so intolerant of other people’s views?
    Why support the tyrants?

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. …
And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
    It is its natural manure.”
    – Thomas Jefferson
(1743-1826), US Founding Father, drafted the Declaration of Independence, 3rd US President

    Let freedom ring!

I don’t feel that way. However, I am opposed to anyone whose views include “violently overthrowing a legitimate government”. And I’m even more intolerant of hypocrites like the right wing. Just two short years ago the GOP wanted to string up Denny Kucinich for have the nerve to suggest that we…draft legislation in the house for a hearing about impeaching President Bush. A rational, appropriate legal action was enough to make the right wing foam at the mouth and start using the words “treason”, traitor”, “anti-american”, etc. The right would say, “You want to impeach our President during a time of war?”.

Now these same people want to “gather their armies” against our President, while we are still at war? H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y!! I could only imagine how the right wing would respond to any liberal that called for an “army to be gathered” against Bush.

And for the record, I never supported any act of violence against or the violent overthrow of President Bush. Apparently violence against elected officials is a right wing Christian thing. 😉

      Why support the tyrants?

Ummm, if you support the Teabagger Bowel Movement, YOU are supporting the tyrants. The very same right wing, Christian, Republican tyrants that occupied the White House for the last eight years. They’re trying to make us think Washington and Adams would be “pissed” because businesses have to report their earnings to the government? Yeah right.

Just imagine how Adams and Washington would respond if they knew what George W Bush was doing to prisoners. And what Democrats and Republicans did by passing the patriot act that gutted the very constitution they wrote? Just imagine how Mr. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness would react to the state of the US today, where it’s a government OF THE CORPORATION, BY THE CORPORATION, FOR THE CORPORATION.

And that quote, I’m gonna pull that one out next time we have a republican president. 😀

You’re right, pb! There is NO taxation without representation going on here, and some of the teabaggers talk DOES sound like treason! These same people would call the protesters of the 60’s treasonous, yet they are doing the same thing!
And hey, hybrid, you’re entitled to your views. But now that the teabaggers want to protest, all of a sudden they’re calling upon Thomas Jefferson telling them they need to take up arms! We got tons of flack in the 60’s for protesting peacefully. Leave it to the conservatives to want to do it violently!

It amuses me how the so-called “tolerant” liberals are so vociferous in their furious attacks on a large number of Americans who are simply exercising their constitutionally protected rights to “assemble” and of “free speech”, by constantly calling them vile names that conjure up images of profane sexual acts, and constantly accusing them of being racially motivated despite the fact that their numbers include people of all different races, education & general walks of life.

Just two years ago when George W. Bush was our President, dissent was considered “the highest form of patriotism” by the left and noone was ever called a racist for opposing him, even the African Americans who criticized his perceived slow response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Caucasian political opponents of “W” were never accused of being bigots despite their blocking of Miguel Estrada from even being voted on for confirmation as a Federal judge for fear that he would eventually ascend to the Supreme Court, their vicious attacks on Justice Clarence Thomas, Secretary of State Colin Powell & National Security Advisor / Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and their forcing the dismissal of the first Hispanic Attorney General in our Nation’s history, who President Bush had appointed.

It appears as if opposing a Black or Hispanic person in government is only acceptable if it is a Democrat that is doing it, and that any other time it must be a “hate crime” and not simply a disagreement based on political philosophy.

No, you can thank the teabaggers themselves for putting that image in our mind. From the very first teabagger party back in April 09.

despite the fact that their numbers include people of all different races, education & general walks of life.

Yeah right. I always tune in for televised teabagging, never see a black guy there. Not even a planted Uncle Tom. lol

I seriously doubt if this picture was taken at one of the earlier tea parties, and there is no way to verify whether or not it was. From the very beginning of this movement, those who opposed it in politics, entertainment & the media were all universal in constantly repeating the vulgar term, and consistently trying to discredit the movement but they have been unable to, it has only grown with time and demonstrated their effectiveness in influencing the outcome of elections all across the land.

Yeah right. I always tune in for televised teabagging, never see a black guy there. Not even a planted Uncle Tom. lol

You watch liberal leaning media outlets, and you see & hear what they want you to, and then repeat it. You are what we refer to as “sheeple”, folks who blindly follow the crowd and would gladly go over the edge of a cliff if you are simply following the other lemmings who are doing so.

If you actually attended a tea party to see for yourself, you would get quite another picture. I (a proud Black conservative) have attended every tea party in my city and I have never once been the only Black person there. I have also encountered many Hispanics, Asians and people of all different ages & walks of life at these protests because the tea party movement is not about race, and it’s not about political ideology either, (some Democrats even attend) it’s mostly a call for our government to practice financial responsibility & spending discipline, two things they seem unwilling to do right now as they attempt to force their radical agenda on this Nation.

Republican lawmakers are also protested at these gatherings, especially the ones who have practiced wasteful spending when they were in control of the Congress. Money does not see or care about race, and the mounting debt that our government continues to accumulate like there is no tomorrow will have an adverse affect on all of us & our children, and grandchildren who will all be working to pay off the crushing debt that our government is accruing today, without a care.
