I can’t stand to even look at these pictures. When they do the daily update on the oil spill on the News, it makes me sick! This is ABSOLUTEY DISGUSTING, what BP has done to our water, marine life, birds and coastlines. I will be long gone and they will STILL be cleaning up this mess. It makes me want to just cry.

Any day now, if the golf courses are closed, President Potty-mouth will show leadership and maybe do something that helps. Until then, he will play, and obstruct, and be a community agitator.

Can’t wait for the White House to have an adult running it again.

I’ve been meaning to say this to one of you: SHUT UP!!

[President Obama] will show leadership and maybe do something that helps.

What the fuck can he possibly do? It’s as if the right wing thinks he’s super human and can ‘do something’ to fix it. The only reason why we’re hearing this cry to “do something, do something” from the right wing is it’s easy to just sit there and tell someone else to do something. Just like the health care bill you don’t see the “opposition” trying to come up with something better, rather they just make more empty criticism.

The fact is if you want President Obama to “do something” to ‘fix’ this, the hen better pass some legislation right now. We need new energy policy NOW. First off, a complete and total BAN on offshore drilling anywhere in American waters. Pass as much as possible by executive order, if the GOBP is gonna try to stop it, use reconciliation. Just get something passed to stop any future “this”. Of course if Obama were to do the right thing, this, he would be attacked again. The government is too involved with private business.

I guess we always new you were an opponent of free speech.

Obama and his team have been obstructing all the offered solutions. Why? I believe, after his little speech on tv the other night, that he wants a crisis in the gulf so he can get his army of useful idiots to push his “Make Soros richer” scheme of cap and trade. After all, Team-Obama can’t ever let a crisis go to waste. It is an opportunity to get policy changes that wouldn’t otherwise be passed.

BTW – Why was it ok for the left to expect Bush to cause the Katrina issue, and resolve it in less than five days, but Obama can go months without doing anything to resolve the oil spill and he gets a pass?

I like what oil has done to improve our world. Sure, thanks to enviromnentalist wackos the safe wells are pushed off shore, and in the case of the gulf, miles off shore. So when something like this happens it is very difficult to fix. Who made the oil companies go so far out to sea that they couldn’t plug the hole?

Oil makes the world a better place, in spite of a leak.

Bullshit. Oil gushing out at that rate is a difficult problem to fix regardless of where it is located. And had this been located closer to the shore, only difference would be the people who live there would have been more severely impacted sooner. At least now the mainland/wetlands had a bit of a buffer period, at the expence of the ocean.

Oil makes the world a better place

Bull fucking shit. Clean energy sources that leave little to no environmental impact, waste or pollution would make the world a much better place. Only thing oil’s done other than destroy oceans and fuel US-Middle East wars is cause choking pollution, city of Los Angeles covered in smog, China has a yellow/orange sky. Shit, even Cleveland has an ozone warning day today and tomorrow. I hope nobody mowed their lawn yet!!

Oil is dirty, outdated bullcrap and the faster the entire oil industry ceases to exist, the better off the world will be.

Have you ever seen what one of those wind mills does to a bird? Did you know that many communitied have shut them down because of all the deaths of birds and foul?

They kill, and killing is bad. Evil wind merchants. Dealing death.

        GUILTY!

Yes, pb, I like the song!
“When something like this happens it is very difficult to fix.”
Not if you follow all the safety precautions, use quality materials, don’t cut corners (like BP did, to save money), and have a worst-case scenario back-up plan before you build it in the first place.
the fact that environmentalists want them further out in the ocean, does not preclude BP from doing it RIGHT or else don’t build it at all! If we can fly through space and land on the moon, we can figure out how to SAFELY build an oil rig out in the Gulf.
