Shocking truth about the Chevy Volt

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/12/chevrolet-volt-battery-issues-growing-safety-findings-may-have-been-suppressed.html

Remember how the government went after Toyota for supposed safety failures that their company knew about but hid?

Remember the righteous indignation of the Obama administration at a company that was trying to kill their customers?

Well look at this from Government Motors:

Turns out the Chevy Volt, their “green” electric car, catches fire, but the Company and the government (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) worked together to suppress this information from American consumers.

“Apparently, way back in June, General Motors heard about a Volt fire that happened three weeks after said vehicle was crash tested, yet it wasn’t until November that the company or NHTSA disclosed there was a potential problem.”

I admit that I’m not a GM fan; I like the classic AMCs: Rambler, Hudson, Nash, Metropolitan, and the CJ Jeeps and Eagle. I also learned how to drive on a 59 Ford F-100 along with a 62 Rambler Classic 3 Speed stick. I saw the Volt at the Orange County Car show last September; I had no desire to test drive it. The only GM vehicle that I might be interested in is the Camaro. I sat in several different GM vehicles; their blunder is making the seats far less comfortable in the Chevrolets to the point you can feel it big time. The Volt engineers messed up big time in the safety part of the Volt. Wiring it in a way it can catch fire is a disaster which can financially ruin GM.
