Chrissi Matthews Feels A Hardball Over Rush Limbaugh’s Comment

MS NBC Chrissi Matthews feels another hardball coming on.  Chrissi is gloating with glee over a comment Rush Limbaugh made regarding government funding for contraceptives, and a college girl pleading to the House, asking them to pay for birth control pills.  Now, Rush did go a bit over the line, just like he did many years ago when he made a remark about then 12 year old Chelsea Clinton, which I need not repeat here.  In defense of Rush, he merely wanted to point out that taxpayers should not be required to pay for someone else’s birth control pills, of which I agree with.  Now, if a pharmaceutical company decides on its own to privately help women purchase birth control pills, I have no problem with that.  It wasn’t exactly a bright thing for Rush to blurt out the b word over the air, yet he was venting his frustrations over people wasting tax funds over something that should be more of a private matter.  Chrissi felt a big hardball forming and went to the airwaves to launch an attack.  However, I think Chrissi would have been smarter not to lob his hardballs around with this.  Exposing his hard balls over this has blown this image

issue out of the left field, and left a disgusting image out there!

  1. If he’s just trying to get a point across, then just SAY IT, instead of making IDIOTIC comments about wanting to watch a video of them making sex since he’s paying for the birth control. Talk about “open mouth – insert foot” – Sheesh! That man is a few french fries short of a Happy Meal. Must have been all the illegal drugs he took a few years ago – fried his brain.

The “illegal drugs” of which you speak was merely prescription medication, which Limbaugh became addicted to after having been prescribed them to deal with the severe back pain he was experiencing – it’s not as if he was smoking marijuana, snorting cocaine or shooting up heroin, or anything else like that. For that kind illicit drug usage, you have to look no further than President Obama, who bragged in his early autobiographies about his underage drinking, smoking of pot & using cocaine. If he were a Republican or even a conservative, he would’ve been publically painted not only as a junkie, but as a drug dealer as well!

As for Rush’s comments, I don’t think they were over the line. He makes several very good points, including:

    1. Expecting us all to believe that this woman could afford to attend Georgetown Law School, but could not afford her own contraception is laughable at best! And where exactly are the males in this equation? Most men I know (especially college age guys) would be more than glad to spring for the cost of a condom or 2 if it means that they then get to have some sex!

    2. If this gal is having so much sex that she runs through about 3 grand a year in birth control, that’s not our problem and we should not be forced to pay for it. Besides, how did she obtain her condoms, IUDs or whatever else she uses before she attended this college? Someone who is shagging that much probably didn’t wait until her college years before she began screwing like the World were coming to an end!

    3. If we as taxpayers are to be forced to subsidize the numerous sexual proclivities of these coeds, why should we not expect some entertainment for our money? 🙂

    • myfoxmystere says:

The b word is where I thought he went over the line; his other comments were not. Rush just got fed up…or should I say worked up…over the dumbo not watching her budget, and asking Congress to subsidize her out of marriage sexual appetite.

Now, if that girl were my daughter, she would be very afraid to screw around in the manner that she has been. I would have instilled the fear of God against having sex outside of marriage.

Now, I wonder why Chrissi Matthews chose to blow this topic up…but that’s another story. He thinks he’s a journalist, yet he brings up some tabloid trash that made the old National Enquirer a huge pile of cash years ago.

  3. Stop making excuses for him, hacksaw. Even HE knows he stepped over the line and is now trying to apologize because his advertisers are backing out. As for the guys being willing to buy condoms? Oh please. there are millions of humans on this earth because the men DID NOT use condoms. We all know that birth control is usually taken care of by the women, if they want to ensure they don’t get pregnant.
Double Standard as to how many times she has sex. No one ever questions how many times a guy has sex – matter of fact, they brag about it. But if a woman has sex, she’s a whore or a slut. Why don’t we call men who always have sex these same derogatory terms?
Sex outside of marriage, myfoxmystere? You could probably count on 2 hands how many Americans wait until marriage to have sex in this day and age. Not saying it’s right – just a reality. And would you rather your tax dollars pay to take care of their kids for 18 years or birth control to prevent it.

Whether the women provide their own birth control, or she gets the guy she’s about to sleep with to do it, I really don’t care – I just don’t want to be forced to subsidize coeds’ overactive sex lives with my tax dollars.

Miss Fluke chose to attend Georgetown, a Catholic college and plenty of free “contraception” is available just off campus from the likes of Planned Parenthood & many other sources, but that’s just not good enough for her. She want to force her University to go against their long held religious beliefs and provide her with birth control that she could easily obtain via other means, despite the fact that the Catholic religion does not believe in that birth control, and believes that sex should occur between a man & his wife for procreation purposes only.

Double Standard as to how many times she has sex. No one ever questions how many times a guy has sex – matter of fact, they brag about it. But if a woman has sex, she’s a whore or a slut. Why don’t we call men who always have sex these same derogatory terms?

Because men aren’t going before Congressional committees demanding that U.S. taxpayers or their schools of choice purchase their condoms, or vasectomies…

Neither! I would prefer that people take on a sense of personal responsibility, and not ask me to pay with my tax dollars just because they want to hump like it’s going out of style!

  4. As to comment #3, hacksaw…..OMG! You’re as bad as Rush! 🙂

    • Hacksaw says:

That was an attempt at humor, much in the way that Rush Limbaugh originally stated it…one does not believe that he really desires videotapes of college coeds having sex, he just doesn’t wish to be forced to pay for their carnal activities, nor do I.

  5. As far as the prescription drugs for Rush, wasn’t he having someone buy him pain killers off the street? That makes them illegal.

    • Hacksaw says:

No, he was “doctor shopping” as many celebrities who become addicted to prescription medication are prone to do – they end up needing more & more medication to achieve the desired results, and most reputable physicians will only prescribe so much of a controlled substance to just one person. It was definitely illegal, but I view that activity far more favorably than I do some junkie in an alley somewhere smoking crack, shooting up heroin or smoking so much marijuana that people get a contact high from just being near them.

  6. Whether he was getting the drugs off the street or getting them by “doctor shopping”, he was still a drug addict. Just because it was prescription pills instead of crack cocaine, doesnt make him any better than a street addict. And that’s not even the point. The point is, no matter what his political beliefs, it was JUST NOT RIGHT for him to call this girl a slut and a whore. Opinions can be shared in a polite and educated manner without nasty name calling.
And men aren’t going before congress asking for birth control because most men don’t care. As always, it is usually the woman who is in charge of birth control.
And although you and I know that everyone should take care of their personal reproduction, the REALITY is that a lot don’t. I’d rather have my tax dollars pay for prevention of unwanted and abused children, then pay for them being supported by the government for the rest of their lives. Ideally, I might even agree with you on this, but we both know that EVERYONE taking care of their own reproduction is a pipe dream.
Hey, I don’t like Rush Limbaugh and you do. We will never agree on this. I hope he’s rehabilitated and wish him well. I just think he’s an uncouth loud mouth and I hear ANOTHER advertiser has pulled out of his show. Sucks, doesn’t it, Rush?

“Whether he was getting the drugs off the street or getting them by “doctor shopping”, he was still a drug addict. Just because it was prescription pills instead of crack cocaine, doesnt make him any better than a street addict. And that’s not even the point.”

I see a definite difference – when someone drinks, or uses marijuana, cocaine, meth, heroin, ecstasy, LSD or any other illegal drug, they are trying to get high. When a person is prescribed medication because they are in pain and they subsequently become addicted to said medication, I view it far more sympathetically than I would some junkie who voluntarily abuses illegal drugs, and commits other crimes like theft, distribution, etcetera because of those drugs.

“The point is, no matter what his political beliefs, it was JUST NOT RIGHT for him to call this girl a slut and a whore. Opinions can be shared in a polite and educated manner without nasty name calling.”

Agreed, but you never see such outrage when it is a conservative woman that is attacked or insulted – when talk show host Ed Shultz called Laura Ingraham a slut, he was suspended for a week but didn’t lose a single advertising sponsor an no one called for him to be fired either. When Governor Palin was hung in effigy during the 2008 campaign, not only was there little to no outcry but the Secret Service, despite the fact that Palin was a Vice Presidential candidate at the time, stated that it was not a crime to hang her in effigy but admitted that had it been Michelle Obama instead, it would’ve been a hate crime based solely on her race.

When Bill Maher, David Letterman, Jon Stewart or Keith Olbermann vulgarly insult & demean women like Sarah Palin, Michele Malkin, Ann Coulter or Michelle Bachmann, there is rarely if any outrage expressed even by organizations like NOW which claims to fight for women’s rights.

When comedians & others suggest that Palin’s daughters or whores or that her family is “inbred”, there is no outcry at all. When SNL ran a skit in which they suggested that Todd Palin was sleeping with all of his daughters, I didn’t hear a peep out of anyone – imagine what the reaction would’ve been had someone suggested the very same thing about Barack Obama….the blatant double standard is obvious, and it’s sickening!

“And men aren’t going before congress asking for birth control because most men don’t care. As always, it is usually the woman who is in charge of birth control.”

Birth control is not really the issue here, it’s the entitlement society and the travesty of government forcing religious organizations & universities to provide services that they find repugnant – if taxpayers should be forced to subsidize contraception for a liberal activist like Sandra Fluke, (who has also argued for mandatory coverage for sex-change surgery ) why shouldn’t they also be forced to pay for any pornography that I may want to utilize?

“And although you and I know that everyone should take care of their personal reproduction, the REALITY is that a lot don’t. I’d rather have my tax dollars pay for prevention of unwanted and abused children, then pay for them being supported by the government for the rest of their lives. Ideally, I might even agree with you on this, but we both know that EVERYONE taking care of their own reproduction is a pipe dream.”

I’d prefer we steer away from a “cradle to grave” entitlement society where government is counted upon to provide everything & keep one dependent upon them, and the point remains that free or very low cost contraception is readily available everywhere, but activists like Fluke still demand that a Catholic school like Georgetown go against their religious beliefs, and provide birth control for them that they could easily obtain via other sources.

“Hey, I don’t like Rush Limbaugh and you do. We will never agree on this. I hope he’s rehabilitated and wish him well. I just think he’s an uncouth loud mouth and I hear ANOTHER advertiser has pulled out of his show. Sucks, doesn’t it, Rush?”

Rush is definitely rehabilitated, (he was originally investigated in 2003, arrested but not charged in 2006 and has not seen any relapse in the 6 years since) and we are usually a very forgiving society (see Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Eliot Spitzer, John Edwards and many others) but it doesn’t seem so whenever a conservative is involved, unlike when it is a liberal who has “sinned”.

  8. Hacksaw, I don’t follow political talk show hosts, or listen to their shows, conservative OR liberal. Hell, I don’t even have cable TV. So all the other instances you speak of about conservative women are not known to me. And if all you said is true, I agree that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. ALL “talk” should be polite and considerate. But we know that will never happen. I, myself, did not bring up the Rush debacle, but was only commenting on mystere’s post.
I also heard that Ms. Fluke was not actually talking about birth control, but was talking about a fellow student needing medicine. If this is true, (don’t have time to research now, got to get to work), then rush needs to apologize even more. I also heard that Rush uses Viagra, which is also covered. Why isn’t he bitching about men wanting to get their hard-ons? SLUTS!! 🙂

    • Hacksaw says:

Sandra Fluke was definitely talking about birth control, which she has stated on several occasions that she views contraception as “medicine” and she fights to make every health care provider, employer or educational institution provide it despite their own religious or social objections. As previously mentioned, she has also argued in the past to force employer provided health care companies to cover optional sex change surgeries.

Rush Limbaugh may use Viagra, but it’s a legal substance and he’s not asking any of us to pay for or provide it to him – if Ms Fluke were willing to exercise some personal accountability and obtain her own contraception and not demand that her Catholic University to provide it to her at U.S. taxpayer expense, we wouldn’t be talking about her because none of us would even know her name but because of her previously disguised activist activities, she’s now the poster child for screwing without accountability, and expecting all of us to pay for her to do it.

    • myfoxmystere says:

Girlscout, good point. Viagra is a scary drug; I won’t ever use it…I will also wait for the right woman and get married first before doing the fun stuff. I get suspicious of any kind of drug not being used for life threatening conditions, or for pain relief.
